Intercultural Team Training

Ready to work effectively with people who are different from you?

My bespoke intercultural trainings equip boards, staff, and teams to grow in their cultural self-awareness, navigate cultural complexity with openness and understanding, and develop communication and behavioral strategies to engage across difference with confidence and care.

My client, Jessi, went from constantly doubting her value & voice to heaving a clear and confident sense of who she is as a leader.

“What’s changed for me since doing 1:1 coaching with Michelle is my confidence in my own value & navigating cross-cultural relationships. It’s been so freeing, affirming, and fun.”

Intercultural Competence Looks Like This

  • Having a robust understanding of how intercultural competency equips Christians to live faithfully in God’s diverse world
  • Developing your own cultural self-awareness and understanding what makes you a unique individual
  • Building out language to confidently and effectively interact with people who are different from you
  • Integrating your culture into your work and leadership, so that you can be yourself and be respected in your diverse context

What We Do Together

1) Individual Cultural Assessments (online)

Each member takes an assessment that maps out their specific behavioral preferences within 10 cultural clusters, including individualism v collectivism, short term v long term planning, high v low uncertainty avoidance, and more.

2) 1:1 Intercultural Development Sessions (50-minute zoom calls)

Together, we get clear on:

– how your cultural values shape the way you communicate, lead, and make decisions

– where your strengths are being misunderstood or underutilized

– the language you need to help others see the why and significance behind the way you think and work

These sessions are private and confidential.

3) Team Report

Your team receives an intercultural map with clear, data-backed insights based on their assessments. This includes personalized analysis from me on patterns and gaps I observe, where I see your team strengths, the gaps that need to be addressed, and my suggestions on language and behavioral strategies to work productively together.

4) Customized Team Training

An interactive training (online or in-person) to debrief the team’s culture map, strengths and gaps, and discuss next steps. The training includes interactive activities and Q&A.

5) Online Curriculum

Your team also gets access to a custom online course platform I’ve developed with training videos and worksheets to continue your intercultural learning journey. Included are some of my most popular masterclasses, including the Becoming All Things masterclass and How to Effectively Disagree Across Cultures.

Investment & Time Frame

Intercultural team trainings take place over the course of a few weeks (generally 2-3 weeks). We need enough time for each individual to take their assessment, do a 1:1 session with me, and meet up for a group debrief and training.

The cost is based on the number of participants. Fill out the form below and I can send you a more specific quote.

What people are saying...

I helped Oscar develop a culturally-aligned leadership style so he could confidently speak up & create positive change in his organization.

Oscar lives in a South American country, and he went from feeling frustrated that he couldn’t express himself authentically without making things awkward or offending people to becoming confident in his own skin and story, knowing exactly what to say and do in any given cross-cultural scenario, and having people praise him for his ideas.

I helped Andrea develop a deeper understanding of her cultural identity so she didn't feel shaken when someone challenged her.

Andrea, who lives in Thailand, went from culturally adapting with locals (but inwardly hating the process) to finding a way to effectively engage that still allowed her to be the most authentic version of herself.
